To afford a better view while retracing their journey, we plan to follow the river at a lower altitude than we have previously been flying. |

At this speed, the check points occur rather rapidly: Carmacks, 5 finger rapids (looks tame from the air, but swift current & big rocks) Bud & Jack recognize many spots on the river where they had stopped or camped. |

As we get closer to Dawson City, they spot a cabin of one of their friend's and we drop down for a closer look, but the cabin seems deserted. We don't tarry long though, since we want to get to town in time for the show. |
